Show created by order of the Castellón City Council to celebrate the closing ceremony of the 2018 Magdalena Festivities .
The so-called Magdalena Vítol is the last official act of the festivities. The party queens shout from the balcony of the town hall: Magdalena, and the public responds from below: Vítol!, an archaic Valencian word that means viva! With this event, that year’s festivities come to an end and preparations for the following year begin.
A show full of traditions, folklore, music, lights and pyrotechnics: A Vítol that fuses traditions and innovation, the emblems of Castellón brought to the stage.” “The show was divided into four parts: the first recreated the transfer from Castillo Viejo; the second, an allegory to the Virgin Mary of Lledó; the third, the Gaiata as a symbol of Castelló, and the fourth closed the Vítol with dance, light and color.”
